We started at 8:00am with Logan's first game! He did awesome, he is so fast! He made two great assists that ended with a boot to the goal. I didn't realize how large his field was, next time, I will have to bring the zoom lens!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 215px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516059508317067762" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNsHvlajAy8J7NkfSzHEoAhBKX-5eH2_yyrVnjrOigVViwwH9f-MVLtNFhVUJ2BM5M-F8xE_4lU_0zUxFwi-0yRwyZnCu5rGDBY97TWTw1xD2v_jWEkK8zPe08spOli464Wdq0TEwoIlSr/s320/Logan.jpg" />Next was Morgan's pictures/game. Pictures at 9:12 and game at 10:00. She did a great job. She loves to play soccer!! She is a great team player and passes well. She isn't afraid to go after the ball. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516062205689600146" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuULgnfChZqH1JkXll08DMLJPjmaItl-Ey4BSK9NU0G4-o30E-38SHOtsBvhQa16FKTzLNoqDWMgB0vccezFo-nslaVKXlIqTBlfIbbge63DyJ8WYWhJxSmrobtWSpq_8qd8U_fEaGU7ls/s320/Morgan+Soccer.jpg" />Spent!! Totally Spent! She ran so hard! As a matter of fact, so hard that after we got home, of course, after going out to eat, she was so sick!! Poor Morgan! </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516057934978873122" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilocaCQrAgFQteHXf8FB78FPfj91GwFecFAoBIFAYZfPLGwClp3EhnjrcyPeK722v1bQ6rbD2FiqY4TaWzv7jJFGC_EB4eHdrUkdrk6bCYCLoWFIVearNDkRDjIME0GXeq85N7j8wtvT14/s320/DSC_0408-11(rev+0).jpg" />Lucy, our tag a long! She did a great job, she was such a trooper. She willingly (thought it was fun) to use the potty chair I brought along in the car. To walk anywhere at Tuma, is a trek, especially with a two year old who has to go potty, now! Here she is heading to Ethan's game. Of course, with the necessities!! Water and Chocolate Donuts!!</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516059509649140450" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIcT0hNMLxxE7bnwLVOtTl5xkClsT3GLx3WJo5br-f8ctxJwvifiAYR6ly-9N53pGC9Zap-qE8oq5hD5WvVrcEJpNhu_E0cMKZfcToZg8AUqcEu3gy3E99bYIMN96il9oPSGjeboVm1iRe/s320/DSC_0385-12(rev+0).jpg" />Ethan's pictures were at 10:12 and his game started at 11:00. We made everything on time and the schedule worked perfect. Everybody did such a great job, getting ready and being patient for thier turn for morning activities.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516057946755279138" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie6S2cU2s-ukuo_ffyxCM9jiIjmzTodpFS4UfTdYmLBKSmx3z6bWIUH6YAATVl2Vq7xNv3qagiYylXY7Xsnm9GYDIan-j77Z0DoeA9WQg8QuYAFB3yzOzq9tvtK5JJa0F3r5a1cbewOYQM/s320/DSC_0427-11(rev+0).jpg" />Ethan did great too! Since he was a tiny boy, 1 yr old he loved to kick the soccer ball. We would go to the Logan and Morgan's games and he would kick, and kick, and kick the ball into an open goal. He will spend hours in the driveway, kicking the ball against our brick foundation. He loves to play soccer in the backyard, with anyone who will play with him. He did a great job, in his first soccer game!! He made a few goals and also stopped the other team from making a few. It was so much fun to sit and watch him do something that he loves!!</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516057942608753378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMddJk_HkvoHZFFuCwIu8is8K2k55725nDFm5F8MjWPMNXfGfN3_XfJUqkqF6YSPxoevOtrzlriuvTEkm0eYkcodOVCm9Y09de0WQSoZuW-FaK7jzIcfDhqdGHAZJVuig1JeF7RPa4k-x6/s320/DSC_0441-10(rev+0).jpg" />Headed back to the van, Miss Lucy kicked a soccer ball all the way there. I was very pleased at how well she stayed and watched thier games. This was only the first week, here is hoping the rest of the season she does just as good!! I love her curls, blowing in the wind!!</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516059515910730578" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBdjvy4CcYh5B-3CikeGzldngEDbu-awScX7rhGMXvCh-U-WgVzUZP8Eh8nW_Vov6h4wzzZ6Dq0BjXkegOhcwL8sl0xpkL3oP4KnapXroh5YqastqfH99G1CmmYB5ey25gC5Rg3APewQQr/s320/DSC_0453-8(rev+0).jpg" /><em><span style="color:#cc0000;"> Headed to the van, after a morning full of fun and sweat!!<br /><br /></span></em><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNCF71Cei0gL2uZkL8CyTSURp-dgkBzkugoHB1iqLzj9sOWra7VdiA4_veN1v-ErYutDABYpim1hYtGYHIKN6K8dj9xChZv1Mu4DZLaVY4_IuvvRhZT0rW1cam-DWQiVIJOiv9CDbSr8l7/s1600/Soccer+Home.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 210px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516057932191229474" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNCF71Cei0gL2uZkL8CyTSURp-dgkBzkugoHB1iqLzj9sOWra7VdiA4_veN1v-ErYutDABYpim1hYtGYHIKN6K8dj9xChZv1Mu4DZLaVY4_IuvvRhZT0rW1cam-DWQiVIJOiv9CDbSr8l7/s320/Soccer+Home.jpg" /></a><br /></div>*Ida*http://www.blogger.com/profile/07414087818815945247noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753409043504227338.post-89896159795730057582010-09-06T19:29:00.000-07:002010-09-07T08:25:01.860-07:00Free Range Chickens!!Yum!! As it all started last Monday night when we first brought out 6 girls home!! Monday night, and Tuesday night I had to take the girls into thier coop and place them on the roost one by one. On Wednesday night, they were all in the coop one was perched on the roost as they all should have been and a couple were not, but they were all in the coop!!! By Thursday night, all 6 girls were perched on the roost when I came home. They all fit perfectly in the 4ft wide roost that they have in thier cozy coop!! <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514190778780655522" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjINtp3kMPmq2peahwAZodGOs-Nz-9V4xAN1uiA3MtnT1J1vVW72DzGrpEwbGKZsylb4jEaBUZVMbf9E0GmPd3X4t8B-bvzLT9DZRv8ECfJ6clnAdPMZzHeyiQCCShLBrlgNivOiRA9W5ig/s320/DSC_0252-21(rev+0).jpg" />City Ordinance says our girls each have to have an identifying bracelet placed on thier little ankles!! Thankfully most of the girls don't mind being picked up, and all of them seem to settle once you have them close to you. Snuggling must be comforting!! My neighbor came over to hold the girls while I clasped thier bracelets shut. It just so happens that the bracelets close with an eyelet that has to be crimped. I happen to have a scrapbooking tool that was the perfect tool to use to get this job done. At the zoning department, they were sure to show us the tool that is recommended to be used with the tags. They were quick to add that thiers was not going to be lent out. When I seen the bracelets, I was totally confident that my scrapbooking tool would get the job done!! And so it did!!<br /><div></div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514190783186626738" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjswYffZUn-cosW-fNC27IBhLiH5atILzJSHDKOWyrxNHrfMDLM54kxwo84NLIx2oo7-RVFXLm5WKm7caYdfmFH-SrqnCd_0akqvWbSgKRoGZ3T_0XBzP4YbhLAJGuDf0KR5JHm6nBprb8f/s320/DSC_0275-23(rev+0).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514190792036767762" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSpMWq1iZWUI0GsNE-vhdt7Z9vLTb0wkfCa0xjBM0bl4Bueu39ygqqw5mfaiklKQB7x5-jEkCC_o13GqSJiuOaXJc1jyBT5fa5f6XoBI4KVZuALCuH34Smfr_JQ13SOXl0jB-V1Uo73Qyq/s320/DSC_0276-20(rev+0).jpg" />During the week, Jason has been busy putting up a bit of privacy fence to keep our chickens in thier designated "Chicken Free Range Yard." He has been able to work on the fence on a couple mornings this past week, and was able to finish it today!! It looks really sharp! I can't wait to get another section of fencing put up. I will feel much more comfortable as my chickens free range in the future. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514191489841912834" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTV4kZr3T0thaAGcZDVUGkPJRrMXj9nuZjenYsHV2b7qdBlJHJc0mwEybp2ClSeVcjFXRe8iWuLYwYj6BLKPYhAIc5AiTrjMCi6KnMBP1jPgrZ_1MEfY8zNHFcBW-ZSugjcaw5xWrj87r1/s320/DSC_0261-21(rev+0).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514191496476952642" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL7-5YeJOr981SJvvL9FKz62oy6iMJ681aunu4eWJ5HS5kbJ989pRF90NFdteTE3OiOLYmrULPxpcx6AVVw52YVvQ1Fw26D_ZIjdfFmtb2phiSyHXgxeudnDM-TrGleAoEv0whYO-VlL0P/s320/DSC_0262-22(rev+0).jpg" />Tonight, after the gate was placed on the fence. And a few other small things! As soon as we left Theisens, we headed to the place we bought our chickens from a few weeks back that we found on Craigslist. It was a good hour away!! Jason made some holes in a few boxes, so our chickens could safely travel home. We had an exciting ride home in the van with 6 chickens and 4 kids!! The chickens were not caring for thier ride, they were scratching quite a bit, in the boxes. I was a little worried about them getting out of the boxes. The boxes were taped, however, I didn't tape them all the way across the top of the box. We got home right about 8:00pm and it took an hour to get a little feed, water, and the chickens into thier coop. We have no electricity to our coop, although our little LED lanterns lit it up rather well. Well, enough to get a couple pictures anyway!! <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511402394729846690" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSJY2xwlYjYMP0OGFQBIHcD2iNdh9j6OI3tSpbSRrtDBJdJDxnSOqDCi5d-tSkdH6scz_GzDdIATz8UteY1D8LT79m2o-toMcewfhhnuw1ybz8wb84hecbC3BLfazifbwnHDyGEpksMj2D/s320/DSC_0055-87(rev+0).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511401966677293154" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMCEuibzqtCB6sjS-H6QZFZxxCVFxCNvHmGJq3xTj3NoBYADZGD0zWHa67F6GLz-b0EGzDWPfvKmVFSlftLjx8iSsmED6WdXKvwDe_ecHFmlbdXU774A1ynSmVZ6fhwzw7pRZyrk-hK4e2/s320/DSC_0059-80(rev+0).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511401958345144530" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEZ3AGmUz8QNF1R6V_-FB9epr5O6PrpZDU0N9qP14AaNkb8_5T0id9EOO9ZP2iiDE_C2y8F8WP_ASx4aHqPJFBO_F2FTWhXO9fG8vEdUQS7eNG9jBGDNac8J2NoBIMDdcKCg5GrER-shSI/s320/DSC_0057-81(rev+0).jpg" /></p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511401970338704354" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGARfaBAKpEWDDg4WPNcWDxVrtWG61v9fnnt8pvkYQ4pWkkxscDgtuCDOzULBxrTCeuBWSzjn2Yw9GSzthzwdaLQdu8-147_8Z3ZvZKF1qooYTwlpcO6pHKZ7zdmDUAXqM_MiJigaAYDLf/s320/DSC_0069-77(rev+0).jpg" /></p><p>The were a bit timid! (I guess some bedding, a feeder and a waterer may be necessary too!) </div><div><br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5508743365279912242" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnrI7mdwMB2f1_qsda4hPxiwc5dT397C_DBxNj4s7o-BHRhJT33Mt_CT5Czx-lPQ7LQfJaiJY7U_dHEyr1NUSgGskTM8FtW-XcUDk097ZcNJlMGJZ2s-I49_tT4RG02tRjbA8BtklAeLxt/s320/DSC_0187-42(rev+0).jpg" /> The Coop is 8 x 4, and the Run is 8 x 8... I think our 6 chickens will be happy chickens!! In the near future they will have a nice piece of the yard that they can free range, a little fence building/modifactions need to be had. </div></div></div>*Ida*http://www.blogger.com/profile/07414087818815945247noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753409043504227338.post-67221162114343354872010-08-16T13:42:00.000-07:002010-08-16T13:53:33.559-07:00Chicken Coop!!! Coming together!!<div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506111608909742242" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBQLFv6K5i682Ta_ME1-OaamaKotAo8Tyhn9e7rr_a35aAMIRqLme1_AolMOcVD9YNiC-9f4Fndhj6Wc_G4D8K_AZ26Z5IV45T_1PCyFAj4lQ0nDqjJr7Y37ytlqa8CSB2pJ2R0izeD-iM/s320/DSC_0098-70(rev+0).jpg" />Haven't got permits from the city yet, however, that hasn't stopped us from getting ready. The kids and I painted the nesting boxes / feeding box.. and the inside of the coop's ceiling. <div><div> Jason made the boxes a couple days ago, and put the insulation/plywood in the ceiling this morning, before going to work!!</div><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506111615606611730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJDSuUhyvxGGF-JFvQR0rkJeezAu5nd7PGFBhiyUGdl43xemqXa6EJlpgZDMyJ3Sgn28TCu1L8iIgU5UolzTwGRO5mm4GuFkGRHYq9m9LzxgKSrGcykkjNpuc_hH0M9ZJeIWhcjYKwHgqJ/s320/DSC_0100-66(rev+0).jpg" />So excited at the progress! I am going to paint the rest of the inside of the coop for easy cleaning and to give more light during daytime hours... I need to decide if I want to pay for more insulation/plywood or if I want to skip that and paint the walls, as the coop is sided stopping drafts. There is still lots to do, but its coming together. We have to build a pen, buy a few things, sand, shavings, waterer, we need to build a fence, and figure out ventilation for the winter. As far as the summer is concerned, with the 4 windows open it works awesome (as I painted in there today). Oh yeah, Need to get that permit!! So we can bring our chickens home!! ;o) This has been so much fun!!!</div><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 213px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506111601079183410" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjB0rkor-CPb4zTRsxR6ndQBleGZwpnMQbEcU8SMhAi-UYFTzw2P-qbm90kGoTbPzJOrpuenwV23JBzMEtpg3GrCLBLOuMO_MAvCM9M-nf3Sc2vp-hs9TFWuclOeGKrPQDIhhEpy9uUnEqQ/s320/coop+ceiling.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5506111625878029186" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBqbc0Rq7dte6_uO62_H22ycjcjsXjFuhpyXpY-AJCpRFfPe__MArTQ81dyfn8C1LnvO2LHThNxkwsYl6fvwcbtAcdwmYuSbFRAB568uutOVDYj8r6RkG4cs47KdSSrNBI3UWIlyJ9zkB1/s320/DSC_0106-68(rev+0).jpg" /></div></div></div>*Ida*http://www.blogger.com/profile/07414087818815945247noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753409043504227338.post-39553851454040501192010-08-09T18:25:00.000-07:002010-08-09T18:50:03.419-07:00Outdoor Play<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5503587317689579218" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6emayftiw94Y0Hbz_uvXm286n4SP542k6mDF2zuKtRR9rm8DxkXgth-aukaep6IEoaprfs2yQ68_kjO7rczdVLZoOd4FxfQ5RLVS4_ONi9uoDltbIVVEzfhw7U5h5rvLHi4x_mtRg79Le/s320/DSC_0860-1(rev+0).jpg" /><br /><div><div><div><div><div>The kids and I went out for a little while this evening. The older kids couldn't be more ecstatic!! It took a little bit of moving until I found the perfect place in our yard, our driveway!</span></p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502016795825239522" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi85Veq7AgnshH1U4N1qWMll5Lt1-QBLdhqmOmDAxY2Gf61DQoqazO27ho4La1q_xQckWjY8sVQLKlcvTRf2kOqrOJXYp1IQqFM7odgieKR_d_B7yuUKV5C6sVQP-I5qQEaSswAjhxTehwt/s320/DSC_0841-1(rev+0).jpg" /><span style="color:#ffcc33;">Since it needs to be level, this seems to be the only decent place to put it. We layed out a couple tarps and set the pool up on those. Our cars seem to block the street and not having close by neighbors, it seems to be in a safe place. Since the pool is only knee high to Logan, Lucy absolutely loves it, to her it is giant!!</span></p><div><div><div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502016190960638690" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-lEFHQDS8zVjKfhpLXzAJi6ryH_sN8U66RRFXRs7Jo0DUc9SbtK5P8Q5C9k6pcMBPLnSl_0b1X1wmGwTI-dzQ_ScqAxTfbA2rEco2C4gWyhUvUbtsGoh-zbrkKjZWszhyWZiiiQDQOqnc/s320/DSC_0829-1(rev+0).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502016195029857874" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTtBulYmxAaoeBEPZP_82Fp29vSLnSmzKz8vq9d9Ty7EZukSjvCFkgznC9L7vC9vNIhDxk8x7dMYHgLtSfbdGO6-sXQHjALwkxwZ_vybfCmFkMIzZw2OS-LL1BgkqJYqi_al5OK_MZKjHq/s320/DSC_0833-1(rev+0).jpg" /><span style="color:#000099;">Morgan, Logan and Ethan are so pleased with the size too, since they can all fit at the same time!! The older ones swim in circles and Lucy goes everywhere! While the kids played in the pool, I mowed all of the push mower areas of the yard. (I know how to use the tractor, I just don't know how to start it!!)</span></div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502016201587804114" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg25cnHgeFglSV78dASrxS5Ain84JIL8aF1M_NSlbbN1NizKezufjBF8MH9RrJWNQtuBBPx3hvM05nVsnsJxz8VBryLn_9JRr-Q7ck6aXIPbs3xs7P2q4_xLT1PDhqDRVU-HWvJbbZgpt0J/s320/DSC_0835-1(rev+0).jpg" /><span style="color:#ffcc33;">While we were doing this, Jason and his brother Dave went to pick up our chicken coop. This was no easy chore as it was at the bottom of a yard that is a complete slope, the same angle as our driveway (rather steep). Jason is so handy and built a skid to place under it. He and Dave jacked the coop up and slid the skid under it, connected chains and pulled it right up the hill with Jason's truck. Got it up on the trailer and brought it home. He unloaded it with the tractor and we now have a coop for the chickens we will soon be able to get!!! Jason found it on Craigslist, we were able to get a deal on it!!</span></div><div><span style="color:#000099;"></span></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502016187062549170" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcCy4Q7EYnpaAM7f66R6GPLRHGs9hOkn4RKXkDK1iIop5BumsbYx2HPfMCcFYiCS4f4j4IQX5UmskuOIE7yJ2gSz5lV1C6vSh4wagZBmm2haSD95m0A5zQp86uDjqbBX2vsSQiM7dJwMOl/s320/DSC_0844-1(rev+0).jpg" />Actually, I just ordered the chickens I wanted from Craigslist!! Buff Orpington's that were born on Valentine's Day this year. They are just beginning to lay eggs!! The kids are so excited as am I. Jason has a little bit more building to do, nesting boxes, and a pen for the little girls! I have a few things to buy for the new additions to our family, watering & feeding supplies!! It is so fun to see how excited the kids are, being able to soon have chickens in our yard. (And of course I am probably the most excited for this new little adventure we are taking on!!!!)</div></div></div></div>*Ida*http://www.blogger.com/profile/07414087818815945247noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753409043504227338.post-82980159065834621832010-06-07T17:53:00.000-07:002010-06-07T18:28:49.609-07:00Flower Girl<div><div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 226px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480208172295829858" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_5jBU-YrXJv0I8rldXy5z_mo15HwqVxSr9g1z9YPpZG48BKMysfUIy_Q2TSRd1a9iS7eVx4u5sDqyaoL92O7FAL4c7LaUCxt-L6LNV0_W8RWF-7O8l0Z5N-ER1Y50BrYMWFKzmLDYnHsu/s320/1.jpg" /> Morgan was asked to be the flower girl in a friends wedding. The wedding was Friday night, June 4, 2010! Jason & Jessica Felt had a beautiful wedding, it was a perfect wedding for a fine couple. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480204482889453554" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYoM7jIi54XSsUs_Vi2k7wDC6FBBLckqh87X8BOtWPBmnQpTDfUUJvINncrXvzO7m67at0r5cKUnLAvumQBAxCrZASQ_rS-hxdNHetJ7FNPXiJtAl3DxeY0abf1S6Cum3wAdSAeQcKxvVR/s320/MJ+1.jpg" />Jessica and I went out shopping for a dress back in April and after our 3rd store we found the perfect dress! Morgan absolutely loved dressing up and feeling like a princess for an evening. She had her hair done and had an amazing little dress to wear that matched the bride's dress almost exact!!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480204457762592898" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGU0_Ddq-FyWKhpgUvYGUn5nu8M8APjKCTymWiiXZynPOQFH_gN5-iDFkuucaTOQB1Tg9Qjubp2M9bskv7oxNJPXtmqiKFM4c5PfEVi_MWhYbEyV5OUpXsCbzatjAi196KFij4Piw0WQ5t/s320/DSC_0005-86(rev+0).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480204467325058322" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3ug6MvnpKHxApYfcQCS0VN0y4ma8Yr8APoaMJqco-Q3Jyrx-EOB0RloJ86Jcm1qkuwcBsDKTC82Zm4eiwujHyXSG76ymmZ_KUH2-N97wgbpwxap041OCuf6lJK0Xi4PD-w28KUyeY7Zhc/s320/DSC_0052-78(rev+0).jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480204475146244290" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkCy6DPiRK-q1WFvsVFU5FEW9yUlCkp3CNqQ7AJlLrQhWNnqg85Mlc7OpddCw0YyvsfIXTtaVC44ktUWj77EJVrZL7OhmgC0EsQXn0_dHlxcpZT6wWJZ7aqrRbwX3OptrI1SbIvFLoc4_I/s320/DSC_0060-74(rev+0).jpg" /> A friend, Julie, added some pretty beading to her jacket to match Jessica's jacket as well. Morgan loved all of the pretty beads on her jacket and on her dress. She was so tickled to have bobby pins in her hair, and nylons on ~ just like adults ~ with her fancy white shoes we found around noon, the day of the wedding. Did I mention the pretty white shoes had a nice heal, that Morgan just thought very highly about. She has never had shoes with a high heal before!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 244px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480204481748145442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAgnVHkm7UBaIaF6mIstdPROCKZvTuPLLX_0NggdV9KGo-pTTTGFbWzm5Q4b5D3sO7rS_UxjEPBI5zLchBmuMbX65pBAmyvcs06zM7RImiEB6jTXvm21tHzqdiMhF6ki_WEavyyhN6eqIP/s320/Morgan+Shoes.jpg" /> Morgan was so kind and helpful to the ring bearer, Tyler. She really liked helping him, know where to go and how to sit for a few pictures. Memorial Day has always been one of my Grandma Mary's favorite times, I can't remember having a Memorial Day without a family picnic. There was no picnic this year at Maquoketa Caves, God let the caves close recently because of a Bat Virus, so I didn't feel bad about not taking the kids there this Memorial Day. We spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday with Jason's Grandma and Aunt. We had a really wonderful time. Saturday evening we spent with the family and let the kids play. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477916469455181794" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimkXhsfH_dyNEPRIIqNc1cEvqfVWp4PTYux5DdJ8pu0kEn9tLRHJseIDjlsdpoYBdK4SH-3SHC3GfDqSIiqSVBEHmJa7EFSPS7J9p6PNVtyEyyY5rNWbs1wo_TwumvOhYn2XW5cGrJId3z/s320/Morgan+Tractor.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477915423648835250" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFYc2iKN7w6V0VZq6m791bP5d4c7OBOiJyo4XCcyb24FJ8OHTmpJ6l1emn8vZvqyo4W1rStwdRDNl-ChV57iWDWfFRYyfILArNtwVx9Wie-73eap7lTej9O6HOnCtATDhq6aJIvXyZuMSO/s320/Lucy+Flower+2.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477915409121707618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGvztjFrB25hI7JDekc2Mj6RdIYKJ6Qfm0Z4k24LsCI4hyH8sdFxBMKo108DsAYrSe5DWj6EFRiqsjga1O6DfQlMSBmRpWiu6dSzSrt-eHzX1-lQWuxuN87NBjp23m7bZ0d5xzmtV7CHTg/s320/Flower+3.jpg" />Sunday morning we went to church in Prairie Du Chein, Wi. It is always a blessing to go to a church that believes in the truths of the Bible and Salvation. The kids all enjoyed thier Sunday School Lessons and Jr. Church, they have still been talking about them today. Jason, Peggy and I went to Sunday School and had a lesson on "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God." It was a real eye opener on priorities and putting Jesus first all the time. During church thier Women's Ensemble did an excellent job of the song "We Are Blessed" and a Veteran gave a message about Memorial Day. Soldiers of many generations have given thier lives, so we could have freedoms in America. We never should forget them, but we too, should never forget that Jesus too, gave His life so we can have Eternal Freedom from Hell. The Pastor ended with a message and then we drove around the Mississippi and the Villa Louis. </p><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 198px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477915405916734962" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKmtifSCM8CEhu3rnaB-ovNzo3wXir2Etdt86hPdbf0dM2D3MFIq-6c-DzLgLPyqZOjMbyiujk12N04Rzv-wn5N7uLhtkUcBj5z_YytmmSmLx52EVw2S2ZC-8Hb4AZcBAea7TvfTc9D9zl/s320/Family.jpg" />There are so many sights to be seen in Northeast Iowa, with as much as I have been there, I haven't seen very many other than Pikes Peak and the Mississippi. We are going to take some trips to the farm and plan other excursions to see the many of the sights that I am looking foward too!! Sunday afternoon Peggy, Jason and I took the kids to a small Memorial Park in Clermont, where there is a Statue of Abraham Lincoln and flags placed throughout. I was able to capture memories of the kids with my faithful camera. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 225px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477915429943021346" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5DKpRBsR8EYlaZP7Tu3mMSy2AIms-kuMADIoGG9WdVXg5aBqgRh3hO6ZoT6jNhgoWRn_VAtGqKqbnBHpeq88FrpvR920VzfLE-wV1B3ly6SGLNxm4_5bzJy9TkctFHoYEQzzSvNraVN2U/s320/Ethan+Jump.jpg" />We came home late Sunday Night and went on a picnic with some friends in Anamosa on Monday. The weekend truly went too fast!</p></div></div>*Ida*http://www.blogger.com/profile/07414087818815945247noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753409043504227338.post-12141699664968458982010-05-20T19:40:00.000-07:002010-05-20T20:11:35.478-07:00Family<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5473555174528762626" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSS9iHOnsQhLlhdF72ke9xAmAEfMAwIS63j_LHH7_2QIukvRSrUTXd_SemH10E27llh007psV-W3RurgxjiM_kG4M7JWLQoVOB5OekC3QrWdHyr1A2ufAH1iVgWJKODZGrA0sGIy4SyF_o/s320/EDIT+1.jpg" /> <div><div><div><div><div><div>I started taking photographs in 2006 and that happens to be the last time we had a family picture done. Coincidence? Perhaps. I hate to have to pay to get pictures taken, when I have the equipment. Sears and Penney's just isn't the same as candid family moments. Jason and I were able to have our family pictures taken this week by a friend, Miss Jessica! We had a great time, the kids overall did very well, we were able to get some great shots. Jessica is very creative and edited some of the pictures that she captured for us. She's hardly 3 feet tall ~ can't be exact, she's sleeping (Never disturb a sleeping child!) ~ and is the master of destruction in our house!! She loves to do many things, she is very crafty, she loves to read, help Lucy, clean and she loves dolls. Over the winter she has had an American Girl magazine, that is litterally in pieces now! She had went through this catalog hundreds of times and had circled, everything she wanted, even the exact look like me doll! She had no clue that it would become a reality for her to get a doll ~ she knew they are expensive. Her birthday came, it was the first night of our Children's Program at Church, Wednesday Night Warriors. She was so excited all day to start in Warriors, as this is her first year. First thing in the morning I took the kids ice skating and all 3 of them skated together. The coach wants Morgan and Logan to work on Pair Skating. (we'll see about that $$) The kids had a great time and really enjoyed skating, Morgan was excited to bring cupcakes to share with her friends. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 248px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443416656113489970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoACrT0ZPshd_KuJBBCz-gdXOYLE7MJyb2ygbqEzwxWb9u-HX9fcUhUC1x4mGtOoUo1M45ZuU2xfdVKNBLCB0b6nQi8hlz4J53h-X95ITPxNLwIAfujXUb4HYLg1XpIxiLyzEZTYwKK4qu/s320/Ethan+Cupcake.jpg" />We had friends come over that afternoon - and I had taken their baby's picture for them as a gift. My friend happened to bring cupcakes over, not knowing it was Morgan's birthday! After they had left, everyone got cleaned up and we went to church. At church Morgan's best buddy, Tillie, brought her a gift and she was thrilled. Morgan had a great time at church and Mrs. Rhodes had gotten Morgan an awesome cookie for her birthday! By the end of the night, Morgan didn't even realize that Jason and I had not given her a gift, her day had been so full! Morgan's party was on Saturday and she was tickled to get her own American Girl Doll, her friends were so excited for her, they all have similar dolls! I currently am trying to get school done every day and do some catch up with the kids. The kids have been enjoying ice skating and playing in the snow from time to time. Morgan is really excelling in ice skating, as are the boys. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440334002587696322" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgED4z5GT0aTYMlZ8mTOc4xODBWN-ciZidmq4BVRQZI5IMvhgkRmurBeJZl9PHnDoiMBn2wzNUdNyRN9X6pcgqj7zpUe5AO980zmWXhs3s2cKhyP3ryORSqHEo-HGIFHNaCdY2ExZ_lUzb5/s320/ice+skating.jpg" />January, was very cold and snowy! Most every day we have a fire burning in our wood burning stove in our basement. The kids have always loved to help get the newspaper ready and watch it start to burn. They all have learned, at a young age, that it's hot and we stay back. Thankfully, they all have listened. Lucy loves to help get it started and watch it, before shutting the doors.<br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><br /><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 206px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440333678942714386" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4YsbVK3HljwlzgyuNEG3pNJbHJlBwwRue4b1jK_avivAKGIDfQDU7hh_Mkgctg0YrDGGQ1P-QWYkbYMpm0smMwWCl-fxvRLGEiYCJKHWjL-A6d5w8NbTm4qom9Wz9vaCM50ISvxueuROS/s320/fire+place.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440333676566342770" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHMfCLe3dVr8GYzVe_-RuajG4K8EZzlcaw3vCfqMvj76ccLyBNDd_WrgpopvjAbmyBC7NXPtTQt5uP38scHfXd-Ig9tkHZKxqbFIH2W3x568Yr4KfZtBgEiFJ42nu0Y9BCUdbo8fsVgaB2/s320/fire.jpg" /></div><br /><br /><div>On January 22, the kids and I were going to the sledding party at Squaw Creek with our church. The kids all enjoy skating and I love to watch! Yesterday, I was able to take Morgan and Ethan to the Ice Arena for a lesson and skating practice. Morgan was very good at helping Ethan, she told him not to be scared, she would hold his hand and help him up if he fell. She was a great big sister and a wonderful coach for him. The skating lesson went well, Ethan did very well, much better than the first 3 football practices he had in the spring when he cried all the way through them. He took right off with Morgan and was trying everything the Coach told him to do and what he was watching Morgan do. They had a really great time and he can't wait to go back and skate again! The Ice Arena has an awesome opportunity for homeschooled families!!! </div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421491548450172818" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS8-R64JajkHd1LhrYj7g2dxgwceJUr5j-zvfusYb7uvwEl4sZNw983B_gguzczPP0UDcNOGs6I91W26ecNVm7vTt1BNc6EdZM6FHNqIai3cvYxmcknWa1rsZiV4-FvF6-Xvg52Qc2ASmN/s320/Ethan+Skating.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421491550088304354" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyx4pXVXEhXBybBnvQy8FHIwgeNUEoEP5mL4eNGJ0fbtD551rfErGihVBJP6sparxM4q9lcNR8wQ1lhQU2QCdEFA_3SIiGb_eWsEwkEh0IyI4Z5o5JFpum9NjxOuWTLnXUzJS__PmSYq92/s320/Ethan+Skating+1.jpg" /> <div></div><div><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZRTBOtq8RA">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZRTBOtq8RA</a> - A clip from Ethan & Morgan's lesson!</div></div></div></div></div>*Ida*http://www.blogger.com/profile/07414087818815945247noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753409043504227338.post-37032524055301652852009-12-30T22:17:00.000-08:002009-12-30T23:15:07.157-08:00Christmas 2009<div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 285px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421292951937786594" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg02zugCWpyOjhRPeaDEtiUGUBbL5JfK0ufFkmtGnH6XqruUaNYNenmEnotsGz-x_0cCCPQa2cjtbzHknnPweQY8AexmfMQ-FRDIhjaJZRN-b81GkfvRGTW9uYBieSe1867MAYl0rX7ZJzQ/s320/Christmas+Tree.jpg" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi56TmvNwaFbCAgOABu4OVOtAhyY0LSLGhuUAU-jjVhjtkq-owuu4rJdNfe8I1Df8B-lQQKugXyuzawBGXZP_jqFxx28Xlh0BWvyXsGoPZFzyHn1MFKIqyQJNUmd5p7kdzw1n0moQABVFPV/s1600-h/Christmas+Morgan.jpg"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#666600;">Merry Christmas a few days late ~ but I am getting in before the New Year! I wasn't able to get a post on right away for Christmas, I am ready now. I have my pictures uploaded on the computer and have a quiet time to get it done. Since it is now 12:18am and the kids are sound asleep. We had a very nice Christmas this year, everything went well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We are sure to remind the kids, that the reason for Christmas is because Jesus came, just so He could die on the cross 33 years later for our sins! That is the greatest gift they will be able to ever receive is Jesus as their personal saviour. It is just a bonus that they are able to get gifts for Jesus' Birthday!</span></a><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#666600;"><br /><br /></span><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; It seems like she has been with us forever, although this is just her 2nd Christmas with us. She has grown into such a little person. </div><div><div><br /><div><br /><div><br /><div><div><div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 278px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421274894430559890" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLc9Gpj6HvQOy1EYwXdlCWkY8Wso1yNgjlrZSrZRLM2tTSafQVVqFMW7W29YuHO-fFeR14bD4uJu1lSPXY-ZqhlvcIUeZYdX9xmI73tOpWjro3k2fEEnodqtAbY_LZLKTesILvWQjx7lYF/s320/Christmas+2008.jpg" />She has a personality that we love and a spirit we don't want her to lose. She is so loving, so kind, so mischievious, so mean, so tender, so cuddly, so bossy, so obedient ~ she is our little girl! She has been making a lot of milestones in the past few days, in speech as well as in just growing up. She has a big girl bed and stays in it! <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 194px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421277634984400082" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEjqwoC5r9QM9baRlTFGJwNgmN-VJDkAr-XIXVPKQZJNSxcMPNAbUC-1hzPaxhAVuJQ07YHubc_QAax3lkKjN58db3x8kHkoQ4O-dxQ_lmel_7GE20D3X7691xbCH6KrafFT84CREHVuxJ/s320/Girls+Bed.jpg" />Lucy is also ready and wants to get rid of diapers! (ahhhh... a raise in grocery money coming my way! - I have bought diapers for the past 9 years and 1 month, very regularly and for three of those years I was buying diapers for 2) </div><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 249px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421274919655678002" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU4nILIfqMT6B4aDxm86V5TvQ43y-NfmMGu5lml0u1eRZ5_eBgHIAZHntCcY9CrpnT4AnztHf1rtjii5EDzW7yYMsD82KtRXMiOfthQrsidYOirITvHD5WKPmCqvIwBYVFKilgIjU59KSd/s320/Lucy+1+month+a.jpg" />Lucy loves her siblings a ton, she loves to be with them and when they aren't with us, she is asking about them constantly. Just in October she was calling Logan, Lo-Lo, Morgan was Mor Mor and Ethan was Jay Jay, since November she can say all of thier names perfect! Her speech is very clear and getting bigger everyday!</div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 238px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421274900508282418" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnFaPW_-2aF8njzt7o5IZClRl33F426niSBYoLTUXG9T41ia48kvVtqZG20X8URV23ETWMRJ6BwM0NJRmPXLGHPO44_PApEwfM2t1ScHIUITiRfEv2IE_idQN_hhFQGUp9VY2NqZQwk4PJ/s320/Christmas+2009.jpg" />Everyone notices she is much more spoiled than the rest of the kids, I cave into her often for many different things - I hope I don't regret this as she gets older. She loves to clean up and she absolutely hates messes! Heaven forbid she dribbles milk on the table or gets a little sauce on her hand. Its ok, when she eats chocolate to wait until she is done, but if it is something else, she insists on a cloth to clean it up right away. </div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 277px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421279462525181234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjolWCJ-Kb_68fG103Pd8PeIl-kxwoEpqMVPWk3Nt6whiSG1OUS6cSLhlf_bmMQIy_kTFy2MsgwvnRHsvvBOm46sShToNxHCJ9iNt8NAWAShLH-SfSMmuwUPkoUUk7z_dZX2qCHs2doSVrv/s320/Lucy+Eating.jpg" />*Only Lucy is allowed to eat with her feet on the table (only on her birthday though).</div><div> </div><div>She is surely in love with her Daddy and he is certainly wrapped around her little finger! While Daddy is home with her, she doesn't want him out of her sight, unless of course, she wants to get into something that she shouldn't, like toilet paper and lady products. The bathroom is her favorite playroom over the past couple weeks! The kids don't always get the door latched when they are done and Lucy slips in and makes herself at home, very quietly. She is our little Lucy and we love her to pieces! </div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421274911282478418" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxvVmNwNR9saX4xB-G1zTIvc30RG3udpN9FbhRHu8OR5ft-hlB-WE9OIWR6x1VyJ8lUtj3DNix_zopsKkitXbD7IKsVLAEtVCKBM8Mu7lAJLLkLLIEp9rEDjQInUouCW_nvHbwLvKHV8TC/s320/Lucy+1+month.jpg" /></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>*Ida*http://www.blogger.com/profile/07414087818815945247noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753409043504227338.post-66215998092340408832009-12-21T11:35:00.000-08:002009-12-21T12:19:46.227-08:00Christmas Program ~ Videos<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixjgTnnEV5aiglmJmS3Hs-FQxOmC0pEypaGcSWq3w5RouN7nUTfX0lNWXYnX9OTzFVVmWiBWY4SjTcPmFbUdoGGVBkv97-49v7ZX9sW4eodK6Q35M_YysuQIicRoPflaFtslW69BifSvUi/s1600-h/DSC_0006.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5417784898575327010" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixjgTnnEV5aiglmJmS3Hs-FQxOmC0pEypaGcSWq3w5RouN7nUTfX0lNWXYnX9OTzFVVmWiBWY4SjTcPmFbUdoGGVBkv97-49v7ZX9sW4eodK6Q35M_YysuQIicRoPflaFtslW69BifSvUi/s320/DSC_0006.jpg" /></a>I have a couple videos from the kid's Christmas Program at church last night! A Mess!</span><br /><br /><div><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#666600;"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 190px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410277808395777314" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAeivBJfnzAL9N2QXitDPy9WSQGXU3vmpyBFUp61Uf8YNdEWrJqKbX6tp8c-tfLO3633B02-qfd4F1YNA-Sc5XMyL_zHoONJybeBUJcxl3IljlnVKS4pp3SG_DQCY97z9vIBUtVmKcl3YZ/s320/Ethan+Room.jpg" />Our upstairs, gets a major cleaning twice a year. Once in the fall when it starts to get cold, so we can move the boys to the front room which is much warmer in the winter. And once in late spring to move them to the back room that we put a window air conditioner in, otherwise it gets rather steamy up there. It is time to swap thier room with the playroom.</span></div><br /><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#666600;"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410277801367379330" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8MwFUuV_ZjWJxOS52lvpF2yZ4s4RPJyuy1DuTrhlXY18tGW-Zyr1-6gWWd1ycLYxcXsk9IGbiQgPOkrBYw7gMrkmp26BIXIS91Ranj04F5n04yFphY7hiqafjyLsg5jtX25x9Erj4eB-L/s320/Boys+Room.jpg" />Unfortunately we have to dismantle their beds every time to get them through the door ~ and set them back up again. Ethan was very upset that we took thier bunk beds down, they don't work well in the front room, with the slanted ceilings and the staircase. </span></div><br /><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#666600;"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410289515407223218" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwS97nUNYP5BfC4Ef-IxYeUGPvQjd1g57qhyphenhyphene8XKkwMa59qz3TbZfyyxL7xzkPDtE2LBVNBoL0V7mZM6J4gWlwLL6pd5jVqxKq7Q4PJfxhxPeNnbaWgaOsDzIFkbJk6j-nEi8vc8sZiXtU/s320/June+25+2009.jpg" />During this time I also help the kids clean, usually they do it on their own. This is the time I always clean with a garbage bag in one hand and a Goodwill bag in the other. The kids were happy to have me only get one bag out of thier playroom this time ~ I only sent the air hockey table to Goodwill! Boy ~ what a big space that freed up! The kids haven't hardly played with the thing in the last 3 years and Ethan bawled when we took it out, saying he wanted to play hockey. (Which hasn't been touched in months!) I still am going to get rid of toys, but, we are going to take them to Aunt Peggy's house where the kids can visit them and play with them there. The kids only play with certain toys, while we are at home. ~ The others get left behind to collect dust and be strewn across the floor, by a certain little girl who isn't quite two. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 168px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410277819137820258" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnH0h5L25zJnyJt_TdEUX57ecRIRKe2vmSV4aRk8SQjQI1IvJ_npXVWy-yAWjrgC4a-9aqajPPutvXlQ9rhi7Pxg8s49cI5-ndIWvYuIl250QObLz9J7VDvcSPRlBlBFSHAmV9tjVwN9ko/s320/Toyssss.jpg" />This has been a multiple day process, Saturday we got the beds moved and some cleaning done, yesterday we got the whole backroom, cleaned and organized (the way I like it) and we have the front room where their beds are to get a little more organized.</span></div><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#666600;"> </span></div><div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;color:#666600;"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 218px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410277805910247362" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivbxA_QQA3sESLefWAucdva8vqZzsnzohoKaPY5Me9zgKxLzqMcaiDS1SYOng-cMMEPDl4LFmG4sieI438W14F8jbX27y3pOp0CZ7hs8z4aS1sQWLLkQfucim81LskWeBTL9YeZMWuGN7U/s320/Coming+Along.jpg" /> It is looking really good now - I will have to post the finished product soon! Her favorite thing is to get into everything she isn't suppose too! I caught her in the act today and she just cracks me up! It is so hard to not laugh at her when she acts so innocent. She had been recovering well, at her doctor's appointment with her cardiologist on October 19, 2009, he said Julienne's operation was a raging success story. At her doctor appointment with the surgeon he said she was a sign of Progress in the Medical World, her valve had lasted 44 yrs, 7 mos, and she has been doing well with her tissue replacements. The kids were sad to see her go, they thought we could bring her back with us on our way back home on November 10, 2009. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 308px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407760293578329010" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlwv_Mlsy5HxSanTfx7xCxg1pIQSWfQ-OeC8eM1SZc46pkqjE3gMyvo67UBhdbHIN6QJusNVU2n1BVbdDxzY7iq1j_ctrwf36oM9PB6mYlC7yzl59IQVe_wLEj5Cf7AMD4Bmic1owllE45/s320/Julienne+Kids.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 315px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407761339030021602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMBDoveySxrUP1EG5Xl64qA58C8apcnWgkRlUIv4ihYYdP3wettVlxuELCVCZIabRhxWMMo_7lVRMHB8wK00_2A7ZAolpLf_M2rbAeQZgq8g5Rd8y4Nruc7NlrvH6_sfkJVs7LtbZDAVCk/s320/Lucy+Juliennes.jpg" />Since her return home, she has had some struggles, she was not able to do well with Cardiac Rehab due to shortness of breath and was admitted to the West Union Hospital on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 with Congestive Heart Failure (Fluid Overload). With IV medications she was able to get a gallon of fluid out of her chest that had built up since her surgery. I was there to visit her on Thursday, November 19, for a couple hours and at this time she was doing well, her breathing was the best it had been in weeks! She was able to be discharged from the hospital on Friday, November 20. They have changed a few medications and she will be getting into Cardiac Rehab again to help build strength - please continue to pray for her ~ she still has a long road of recovery ahead of her.<br /> <br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 294px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407760283960535730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYPA3w8I2jKyDuKeDv_tDyOXLg9YtAiUGhFWixSBj4u_CftsiRHP14Gds23FATsUCx4xSwmxRiaXMwO3K4fp1kujaDtxgOxF-c9eyISGFRR6keBSrQHa3bFiUGuweoQ0Z93zfDJYnD1zlD/s320/Ethan+Hat.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 218px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5407760296705202930" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWVz88-i9nvbqMgBmr1Jgfrjno-fGZwzOEzgMO0LbxwkuMhkkDxjNs3HANAHTp-pKwzg6IDtZa7DBx0zI0ADK4E6PWZdc0pC5rWIFUiU9w7FLFhF4VETM4uYBbTMvYA9JDQfDbN6LzBDnn/s320/Lucy+Hat.jpg" />As to this day, anytime one of the kids sits at the place Julienne sat, at the dining room table, during her stay Lucy is sure to holler at them "Jean's Chair" and insists on them moving. We all love her dearly and we are so happy and thankful that we were able to help in her time of need! We all miss having her around, Logan misses reading to her and Ethan misses just sitting next to her playing his Game Boy. Morgan misses reading to her as well ~ Julienne is always interested in everything and anything the kids bring to her. Lucy well - she misses her at the dining room table!<br /><div><div><div><div><div><div></div><br /><div>Logan's Journal Entry, November 11, 2009.</div><div></div><div> </div><div>On Monday we went to Postville. We brought Julienne back to her house. We went to Aunt Peggy's house and saw Grandma Violet. While we were there we rode our bikes. We also saw a dead raccoon. We through the raccoon into the weeds. What happens when Lucy is awake and the kids and I are doing school and Ethan is quietly playing with toys? - You got it! MaMa - Lucy!
